The Romeo & Juliet pet beds stem from two simple gestures envisioned by Margherita Bonacina. The first is a deep love for animals — a passion that anyone who knows Margherita, even just a little, recognizes as part of her everyday life. The second is an attentive eye for “what remains”: reed canes sourced from production offcuts, finding in this project a new and personal purpose.

From this combination come two essential objects — pet beds designed to inhabit the domestic space, becoming part of the home with the same natural ease as any Bonacina piece. The rectangular Romeo pet bed takes shape through a rational and essential design. Defined lines, balanced proportions, and extensive customization possibilities allow it to adapt naturally to different interiors.

Technical data

The pet beds are completed with a removable cushion featuring outdoor padding, designed to ensure comfort, practicality, and durability for everyday use.

Like every Bonacina product, the pieces in the Pets Collection can be customized in size, finishes, and fabrics. For enhanced durability and ease of maintenance, Bonacina recommends the use of outdoor fabrics for the covers. For this project, the company also suggests coloring only the woven reed “discs”, while leaving the structure in its natural bark finish.
